No, this is by design.  There will be days when no rewards are issued to a node on the MultiversX Blockchain. There is a random element to when any and every node within the blockchain is actively participating in “consensus”.  This randomness all but eliminates the ability of bad actors to gain a 51% advantage within the blockchain and potentially allow them to impact our security and the sanctity of transactions.

The nuts and bolts of the design are simple: The MultiversX blockchain is run by a decentralized group of specialized servers (called nodes) spread around the world.  Only a subset of these nodes are active and earning rewards at any one time, and nobody knows ahead of time who will be active.  At the end of each “epoch”, or daily cycle, the nodes are shuffled and 20% are pulled out of active duty and placed into a waiting state for period of 5 days after which time the node is reactivated.  So this also means that each node also has an 80% chance of continuing to produce rewards.*

Statistically, this will balance out to each node generating rewards about 50% of the time.  This holds true for every agency, and there is no advantage to hopping around hoping to attach to one agency that is showing a larger APR.  There is a 10-day unstaking period if you want to move your staked EGLD and you do not earn during that period.  Further, the APR for each agency is constantly changing.

It makes no difference if you stake with a large agency or a small agency.  With a small agency you may experience days with no rewards.  This will happen less with a larger agency with many nodes, but understand that within the larger agency, there will be many nodes also producing no rewards, and YOUR active staking will be subsidizing those with inactive staking, thus you will earn less.  In the end, we ALL will tend toward the same APR, so just ape out, stake and hodl!
